Professional Advancement was founded by Heidi van der Walde, who believes that each individual has the capacity to identify and direct their career path. She understands that in challenging times individuals do need guidance from an experienced career professional. Professional Advancement provides assistance assistance and resources so that people can acquire the skills and strategies that lead to success in their career and professional life.
Professional Background and Experience
Heidi is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than twenty years of experience providing career counseling and consultation services to a diverse array of individuals, groups and organizations.
In addition to providing career guidance in her private practice, Heidi has worked in numerous positions and capacities including: human resource administrator, outplacement consultant, career counselor, workshop leader and college instructor. Heidi has worked for a myriad of organizations including: Harvard University, AT & T Corporation, Jewish Social Services, Montgomery Commission for Women, Montgomery College, Arizona Public Service Corporation, and Maricopa County Community Colleges. Heidi's experience has translated into a number of articles, publications and radio segments.
Education
Heidi received her graduate degree from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She attended Johns Hopkins for post-graduate studies, and completed a clinical fellowship at Harvard University.
